Description
PRESENTERS
Associate Professor Minelle Mahtani - Department of Geography and
Planning and Program in Journalism University of Toronto. Assoc Prof
Mahtani is Chair of CERIS - (Centre for Excellence on Research on
Immigration and Settlement, Ontario Metropolis Centre) and President,
ACS (Association for Canadian Studies).
Brenda Nadjiwan is chairperson and a founding member of the Strategic
Alliance of Broadcasters for Aboriginal Reflection (SABAR). Brenda
Nadjiwan is also a member of the Chippewas of Nawash Band. As
coordinator of the Aboriginal Workforce Participation Initiative (AWPI)
for the Ontario Region of Indian & Northern Affairs Canada, Brenda
enjoys working collaboratively with both Aboriginal and corporate
communities.
