Australian Government Web 2.0 report out: Mashup Winners announced

With Open Government the name of the game, the use of the World Wide Web to engage government and get access to government information in really useful ways is now on the agenda. The Draft Government 2.0 report, released on December 7, describes the range of issues that have to be addressed for greater participation and accessibility. But does it all make sense for the "other Australians", Indigenous, Culturally Diverse, Disability and Socially excluded communities? In a response to the Report the CulturalDiversity News administrator suggests there's still a long way to go. Comments on the Report can be made up to December 16. Meanwhile, the prizes are out for the best mashups using government data, with the winner being Suburban Trends (again no cultural diversity but at least some socio-economic differences).
